| Cliff Swallow Studio : Linda McLaren Linda has been a resident of Dufferin County for many years, participating in the rich artistic life of the area as a member of Orangeville Art Group and Dufferin Arts Council. She has been a guest artist and instructor for a variety of art and nature groups such as Humber Arboretum Nature Studies Centre, Kortright Centre Artist-in-Residence and Orangeville Art Group. She mentions instructors Donna Kelly of Georgian College, wildlife artist Michael Dumas and artist-writer Clare W. Leslie as major influences in her artistic growth. Although she often uses watercolour and acrylic, her favourite medium is pen and ink. Her lifelong interest in rural life, particularly animals, both wild and domestic, forms a recurring theme to much of her work. It has struck a chord with many customers who have carried off her drawings and paintings to several parts of Canada as well as USA, Ireland, England and Japan.
